三月20-22日在广西南宁开“中国犀鸟保育与研究国际研讨会”。国内和国外的犀鸟专家与政府领导来谈中国犀鸟的研究与保育。泰国的“犀鸟之母”Pilai Poonswad，一位出名的犀鸟生物与保育专家，新加波国家公园局的专家和中国的出名犀鸟专家参与。主办单位是 广西野生动植物保护协会，承办单位 有广西西大明山自然保护区和嘉道理中国保育，協辦單位有崇左市林业局和南宁市林业局。
On March 20-22 the Workshop on the Conservation and Study of Hornbills in China will be held in Nanning, Guangxi Autonmous Region. Hornbill experts from China and abroad and local government leaders will meet to discuss current reaearch on China's hornbill and find ways to protect them. Conference speakers include Thailand's "Mother of Hornbills" Pilai Poonswad an internationally recognized authority on hornbill biology and conservation, a representative from Singapore National Parks and hornbill experts from China. It is sponsored by the the Wildlife Conservation Society of Guangxi, Kadoorie Conservation China, Xidamingshan Nature Reserve, Chongzuo City Forestry Department and Nanning City Forestry Department.
